Kingmaker
Kingmaker was the final project directed by Colton Kerr in his high school career. This film follows the epic redemption story of legendary boxer William “The Fox” Bradley and his battle to regain the Welterweight Championship from fierce rival, Russell “The Don” Costello. Costello, a ruthless fighter, known for his flashy style, unrelenting trash talk, and powerful “Upper hook” is determined to defend his title against a fighter with one foot in the retirement home. Watch as “The Fox”, led by his Coach Vesper, and training partner “Golden” Nate Calloway, all learn what it truly means to be a Kingmaker.
“The Fox’s” Walkout Explained
Before his fight William “The Fox” Bradley walks out to the song “Like Him” by Tyler The Creator. This is significant for multiple reasons but is never explicitly stated who “Him” really is. The ghost that he could be chasing could be many people. His former self, His opponent Russell “The Don” Costello, or “Golden” Nate who he is currently in the shadow of for the first time in his career. There are many ghosts in “The Fox’s” life that he is always chasing, and before the most important fight of his career he makes it known to the world that he has everything to lose, and he doesn’t plan on losing.
